Dry River Lovat Gewurztraminer 2008

96 Points Bob Campbell MW

"Wonderfully intense wine with layer upon layer of exotic tropical fruit, floral and spice flavours. Reminds me of the tropical hot house in Kew Gardens. Any tannins are cleverly concealed by moderate sweetness (some from alcohol). This continues to win my vote as the country’s very best Gewurztraminer by a decent margin. Incredible staying power." 96 Points Bob Campbell, MW

Jean-Luc Mader Gewurztraminer 2013

2011 Gewurztraminer Take one whiff of this wine and it’s impossible to mistake the grape variety. Shows classic rose petal aromas, with hints of wild flowers and exotic Lichee fruit. Lovely round texture, with layer after layer of flavour extending to a very long and generous finish. This is classic Alsace Gewurztraminer.

JL Wolf Villa Wolf Gewurztraminer 2013

"The cool, wet growing season in 2013 made it challenging to get fully ripe healthy fruit at harvest time. But through patience and careful selection, we were able tp bring in a small but excellent crop, The wine a high proportion of ripe tartaric acidity. The Gewurztraminer is fresh and lively, with a delicate aroma and a refreshing juciness." Winemaker's Note

Marcel Deiss Gewurztraminer Bergheim 2005

"Deiss’ 2005 Gewurztraminer Bergheim is even spicier than the 2004, as well as richer and more low-toned on the palate. Here, I agree with Deiss that the 2004 is much more engaging, indeed extroverted today. Smoked meat, coffee, and cocoa powder reveal this wine’s darker hues, rose petal and pit fruit preserves abound as well, and it can in no way be faulted on length or richness, .....

Te Whare Ra Gewürztraminer 2013

93 Points Wine Front

"A field blend of Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Cue standard issue Wine Front comment about complexity of blends, and weirdness of Australian obsession with mono-variety wines. So aromatic: ginger spice, lychee, slight smokiness, maybe some pear and green apple. Slight savoury cheesy flavours, soft and waxy with gentle acidity, some carry from phenolics and a chicken fill .....
