McLaren Vale, SA
750 mL Bottle
"Medium red-purple; typical McLaren Vale grenache, with more colour, more flavour and more structure than those from the Barossa or Clare valleys; there is a sweetness to the red and black fruits (in no way linked to sugar) that seduces the palate, even though oak and tannins are both in play"
94 Points Jame Halliday, Wine Companion
2010 was one of the best Grenache vintages McLaren Vale has seen, producing a concentrated, rich, complex wine which is drinking well now in its youth or will age with distinction. Intense cherry, strawberry lift with powerful savoury overtones put this ‘old vine’ Grenache at the serious quality end of the spectrum. Ripe, persistent tannins and a long fruit driven palate add to the intensity. A wine that will accompany rich dishes without fear of being lost. - Winemaker's Notes
