Shiraz / Syrah
750 mL Bottle
Frankland River, WA
A complex and concentrated blend of fruit aromas with spice, black pepper and ironstone flintiness with hints of oak.
A core of fruit gives weight to the front palate. Blackberry, black olive, ironstone and the use of subtle, spicy French oak give complexity. A sweet core of red currant and dark plum flavoured fruit complements the fine-grained tannins, which give the wine length

Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Shiraz 2011
"These guys are doing some terrific things. This is a deliciously rich and vibrant shiraz. Spicy and slightly savoury gravel and mineral notes on the nose, with a dark plum influence. The palate is generous, with soft fleshy flavours. The tannins are supple and the oak underplayed to allow some impressive fruit to express itself. Excellent cellaring potential."

"Frankland Estate's dramatic recent improvement in red wine continues with this supple, fine-grained Rhone inspired wine. Its pungent, faintly meaty and reductive bouquet of dark berries, cherries and plums is lifted by a scent of blue flowers, marsala spices and cedar/vanilla oak. Fine-grained, supple and savoury, it's long, fresh and focused, with spicy, meaty and musky fruit knit with very fine, pliant tannins, finishing with suggestions of graphite and minerals."
