"The 2013 Chardonnay opens with aromas of ripe apricots, apple-pie filling and clotted cream with nuances of clover honey and cashews. Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with stone fruit and allspice flavors supported by lively acidity through the long, silken textured finish. Drink it now to 2017+."

"Tasted twice. First time single blind at the Voyager Estate Masterclass, and the second non-blind from a cheeky half bottle.
Some peach and rounder white fleshed fruit, citrus, lick of vanilla oak, though not much winemaking artifice here – pretty straightforward and direct. Has some lemony tang, a little vanilla barrel flavour and a soft gently flinty finish of solid length. Feels, maybe a bit dilute and lacking pizzaz, though it’s certainly a nice enough wine."

"Typical of Margaret River at its best, elegant and fine, complex and long; nectarine, white peach and pink grapefruit are gracefully supported by barrel-fermented French oak (part new), the finish long and fresh."

Voyager Estate Margaret River Chardonnay 2010
“Vivid green hue; a restrained and completely unevolved bouquet, laden with grapefruit, spice, grilled cashew, charcuterie and citrus blossom; the palate is taut and lively, showing great depth, freshness and finesse; will stand the test of time, yet offer glorious drinking as a young wine.”

“This 2009 release left me – at first – a little cold. That may be over-stating it, because from the start it seemed an attractively refined wine. Good power, reasonable length, nothing out of place. A good middle-ground wine boasting flavours of grapefruit, pear cider, ginger and woodspice. Well integrated toasty/bacony oak. And a lemony tang through the finish to complete the job nicely. At first I couldn’t find the X-factor – and then, a couple of hours from opening, it really started to rumble. Time in the cellar should work wonders for this little beauty.”
