"Good medium red. Wild, slightly reduced aromas of redcurrant, game birds and leather. Very ripe and sweet, with a pliant texture and strong notes of game and leather carrying through on the palate. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. There's good fruit here but it's not yet expressing itself: give this at least three or four years in the cellar. Cyprien Arlaud notes that his Morey-Saint-Denis Millandes grapes can quickly overripen on the vines, but not Ruchots, which he normally picks late."
