Cabernet Sauvignon (Blends)
750 mL Bottle
Frankland River, WA
"NOSE: Fresh lifted red current and plums with a hint of oak.
PALATE: A soft berry driven palate is complemented with elegant yet ripe tannin and juicy length. There are underlying hints of spice with a nice complexity and structure." Winemaker's Note
"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Rocky Gully Cabernet Sauvignon is scented of black currant cordial, wild blueberries and violets over suggestions of dried Mediterranean herb, damp earth and tree bark. Medium-bodied and taut in the mouth with a good concentration of cassis and earthy flavors, it has a bold acid line and medium level grainy tannins before finishing long."

"Organically grown. Made with cabernet franc, merlot and malbec.
Pencilly oak, curranty fruit, blocky tannin and a herbaceous, grassy finish. not a bad wine though not in the class of this other Rocky Gully releases this time around. Will improve marginally over the next couple of years."

Frankland Estate Rocky Gully Cabernet 2011
"Ripe raspberries and plums with a floral lift. A soft raspberry palate is complemented with ripe tannin and juicy length. There are underlying hints of spice and liquorice which gives the wine a nice complexity and structure. This fruit driven blend of Cabernet franc and Merlot gives a balance and complexity that allows for immediate appeal. With age each of these parcels of wine will contribute and change to provide a wine that will create interest and pleasurable drinking over the next 5-7 years." Winemaker's Note
