Wine Makers Note:
A cool ripening season with low cropping levels of 1.3 tonnes per acre has resulted in this intensely varietal Pinot Noir produced from fruit harvested from our Uley and Bonython vineyards. Whole berries and bunches were fermented in open fermenters and the wine matured in French oak barriques for 11 months. The best barrels were selected and combined as the Reserve blend. Bottled without fining or filtration on 17th Feb 2010. An intense aroma of dark cherries, red berries, spices and floral notes with earthy complexity is followed by a long textured palate of sweet fruit and spice supported by soft silky tannins.
