McLaren Vale, SA
"Being a cooler vintage, the fruit is lively and fresh with youthful, juicy, concentrated characters of pomegranate and morello cherry. This Grenache has an elegant, medium - body with a sustained, savoury finish, and all - important fine, proud tannins that complete the palate." Winemaker's Note
"Deep crimson; a compelling and complex bouquet offering not only ripe red and black fruits, but also provencale garrigue, ironstone and game; the palate offers layers of fruit, and the evenly balanced tannins and fresh acidity combine to create a long and expansive finish that is simply precise and pure."

SC Pannell Grenache 2010
"McLaren Vale Grenache can make terrific wine, and arguably more often and better than the Barossa Valley does. Here’s a fine example off 60-year-old vines.
Spice, with cinnamon foremost, high perfume, red licorice and red fruit tempered by savoury earthen elements.
Medium weight with lovely texture – a sweep of finegrained tannin and fresh, unforced acidity – all even and perfectly pitched with an impressively long palate. Cranberry freshness and a sort of almond flavour add further appeal. Likely to improve and gain complexity, if you can wait. Irresistible. GW"
