Product Description

The Bachelet boys own 1.3ha of Bourgogne in Puligny (10 metres from the edge of the AOC). The vines are 20-50 years old and this wine is raised for 12 months in a mixture of old and a little new oak (roughly 15 per cent) before being transferred to tank for six months to freshen up. This is electrically charged Bourgogne with masses of textured, piercing and tangy citric fruits, chiselled into shape by long, bright, chalky minerality. This superb Bourgogne Blanc is drawn from some seriously impressive terroir - 1.3-hectares of 20-50-year-old vines in the Puligny area (spread across four parcels) and a plot of young vine Chassagne on chalky soil. These vineyards combined with the quality of the viticulture, harvest date and confident, hands-off winemaking.
