Product Description

Boulay's La Côte comes from the majestic La Grande Côte vineyard, a steep south to south-east facing hillside on the outskirts of Chavignol. This is Boulay's coolest parcel and the last to be picked. The site's soils are rocky Kimmeridgian limestone (like the terres blanches but with perhaps a little more clay). Boulay picks late and delivers a wine with resounding density and incredible intensity on the palate.

Vinification: Natural yeast fermentation in 300 litre barrels (no new wood).

Aging: Aged on the lees in a combination of barrel and tank then bottled unfiltered in July following vintage.
