750 mL Bottle
"Girlan's entry-level Pinot Bianco comes from hand picked fruit grown on the mineral rich hillsides of Cornaiano, at altitudes ranging from 450 to 500 metres above sea level. At this level the juice is simply tank fermented, with 10% going through malo to add some flesh to the wines crisp Alpine bones. 2013s lower than average yields have resulted in a racy, pulpy, kaffir-lime, apple, and spice scented quencher with lovely, pithy minerality and a zesty bite on the finish. Another genuine bargain from this over-delivering outfit." Winemaker's Note

Girlan Alto Adige Pinot Bianco 2012
Cantina Girlan are killing it these days and this bottling has never been on better form. Belying its unassuming price tag, it comes from hand picked fruit grown on the mineral rich hillsides of Cornaiano at altitudes ranging from 450 to 500 metres above sea level. Sculpted and driven by 2012s crunchy freshness, it's a racy, almond-blossom-and-crushed-rock scented wine while the palate offers pulpy stone fruit notes and a lick of fresh mountain herbs to close. It is a wonderfully pure and balanced highland wine and an archetypal example of Pinot Bianco from Alto Adige. New labels here too - good enough to keep the fashion police at bay for years to come. A superbly textured, refreshing and sassy white, and another genuine bargain from this over-delivering producer.
