Product Description

The fruit is sourced from 5 different vineyards, mostly in Ebenezer and Greenock with some from the Western Ridge of the Barossa.

It’s a really typical Magpie red with lovely varietal fruit, black and red cherry, plum, spice and oak on the nose. It’s rich and opulent with ripe black cherry fruits to the fore, plum and cassis too.  It has a savoury core, spice and liquorice and vanillan oak.  Tannins are ripe but present and this big mouthful will drink well over the next 5-8 years.

Magpie Estate The Sack Shiraz 2010
"Good colour; the premium shiraz of Magpie Estate, sourced from several Barossa Valley vineyards; has an abundance of complex black fruits, with licorice, spice and charcuterie add-ons flowing through the bouquet and medium-bodied palate; the tannins and oak also play their part in shaping a high quality wine."
