Product Description

Gorgeous blend of two thirds cabernet with roughly equal Malbec and Merlot. Beautiful purity on the nose with highly scented notes of violet and floral red berry with a leafy graphite character. There’s tremendous fruit power and intensity on the palate, but the feature is how it’s been harnessed and integrated into such a seamless, velvety texture. Rolls effortlessly to a very long finish. A polished high-class Margaret River blend. 97 Points RAY JORDAN

2016 was an excellent vintage in Margaret River and Woodlands Cabernet Merlot 2016 showcases this perfectly through its bright varietals characters of dark berries and spice. A fun and lively wine, with depth and substance to satisfy any cabernet lover. A versatile wine, which can be enjoyed with a huge range of dishes, making it a welcome addition to any table. 96 Points Decanter UK World Wine Award 2019

"A three-way split between 67% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot and 16% malbec, and they are completely in sync. Violets, cassis, mulberries and a baker's box of spices; firm but fine-grained tannins. The palate is fuller-bodied yet finely textured. Superb wine." 96 points HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION

Missed the 2015, but here we are. Wines are like buses; another comes along if you miss one. Blackberry, cherry, tobacco and ash, mint chocolate, cedar, flowers and dried herb. Medium-bodied, cherry pie, a bit of spice too, with earth, pencil and dried herb accents, grainy open-weave tannin, a cool and minerally feel, a long perfumed mixed berry finish to close. Excellent.  95 Points THE WINE FRONT

20 Mar, 2020 – Quite a savoury nose with forest wood and dark spices, as well as rich plums and berries. Leafy, earthy and gently leathery notes, too. The palate has an elegant, succulent feel with dark berries, creamed spices and a smoothly delivered, dark-fruit finish.
A blend of 67% cabernet sauvignon, 17% merlot and 16% malbec. 94 Points JAMES SUCKLING
