This is drawn from some seriously impressive terroir--1.3 hectares of 20- to 50-year-old vines in the Puligny area (spread across four parcels) and a plot of young-vine Chassagne on very chalky soil. These vineyards combined with the quality of the viticulture, harvest date and confident, hands-off winemaking gifts one of the best value white Burgundies in our portfolio today. Our clients tend to agree so be quick if you're keen. Raised with 20% new oak (350L barrels) the 2017 is very Puligny-styled: floral, limey and pretty yet with superb, pithy tension and serious depth.
"Below Puligny. Fine pale lemon colour, marvellous elegance to the nose while retaining concentration. The location explains the finesse. This is so beautifully balanced on the palate that I feel we hardly need to go higher in the range. Detail, balance, length." 90 points, Jasper Morris, InsideBurgundy.com
