The Domaine now work with 12 parcels in Puligny, many of which feature in this village cuvée. In the main this comes from five well-placed sites--Les Meix, Les Enseignères, Corvée des Vignes, Noyer Bret and Les Houlières--where the youngest vines are 25 years old and the average age is considerably higher. Like all the whites here, this underwent 100% wild yeast fermentation and was raised in 350-litre barrels. This offering has always been a linear, floral, racy expression, and the 2017 delivers this in spades. It is lifted and perfumed with ripe lime and nectarine fruit, a juicy, racy personality and a lingering, tangy, salty finish. Excellent for its level.
"Light, bright yellow. Aromas of white peach, noble herbs and toasty oak are lifted by a stony quality (none of these '17s show any exotic character). Fine-grained, concentrated wine with sweet flavors of stone fruits and white flowers nicely framed by harmonious acidity. This wine really benefited from the dry growing season, noted Alexandre Bachelet, who added that its pH is 3.1, about the same as that of the village Chassagne. Offers good density and grip for village wine." 89-91 points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
