The Domaine Fontaine’s 2017 Bourgogne Blanc is a very pretty example, offering up notes of apple, pear, salty soil tones, spring flowers and a whisper of vanillin oak on the nose. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, wide open and ample in personality, with sound framing acid. John Gilman
