Clyde Park has created this Pinot Noir from seven different clones, typically handpicked which went through natural and whole bunch fermentation. Gentle pigeage was applied to all ferments which delivers a wine that is delicate, yet offering a richness and structure which has a silky, crimson and cherry red finish.
From a range of aspects and slopes within the Clyde Park vineyards. Soils are predominantly very low yielding black volcanic clay loams over limestone. Hands on viticulture, extensive use of green inputs – composting, winter cover crops, under vine mulch – mechanical weeding, no pesticides and limited (if any) irrigation.
