Cocoa, spice, apricot and lavender perfume, char and plum. It’s supple, savoury, ripe in fruit, but has lovely balance and plenty of interest, supple grainy tannin, softness with vigour, good length, and heaps of drinking appeal. It’s beautifully done. I like it a lot.

Redolent Asian sauces and spices: hoisin and dark soy, with a plum sauce chaser. An instantly intriguing palate of plums and moscatels, chalky tannins and bright red cherry acidity. Fresh and modern. Should have a huge fan base.
